Mortgage Rates Dip Into New Territory

100 Dollar Bills3o-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged a new record low of 3.62 percent, beating out its previous all-time record low last week of 3.66 percent. A year ago at this time, 30-year rates averaged 4.60 percent. 

15-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 2.89 percent, also beating out its previous record set last week of 2.94 percent. Last year at this time, 15-year rates averaged 3.75 percent.
